Although Benny Tipene didn’t take out the winning title on this season’s X Factor NZ, that hasn’t stopped Benny answering the calls from thousands of kiwi fans begging him for new music, choosing today to release his debut single titled Walking On Water available digitally today and physically from Wednesday 31^st July.

Hailing from Palmerston North, 23-year old Benny has had quite the life-changing journey since appearing on X Factor New Zealand as a contestant, going from performing his music in front of small crowds at local cafes to an average of over 480,000 people every Sunday night on television.

From the stage of X Factor to the New Zealand stage of local music, Benny says of his journey so far, “It has been a crazy few weeks but I am stoked to have the chance to release my music after X Factor, it has been a goal of mine for a long time to hit the radio airwaves. I can’t wait to put out more music moving forward and hopefully tour New Zealand too”.
