Crumbly Jack are set to release their debut EP this Sunday 4 September, Credit Where Credit’s Due.
Crumbly Jack are a fun, young four-piece band from Wellington and have spent most of their time together as a part of the Cuba St busking scene. They consist of singer Eden Brown, bassist Jack Harris, drummer Louis Holland and guitarist Theo Thompson.
Credit Where Credit’s Due is funk and soul + a modern Wellington sound. The EP is improvisation driven and is creatively produced thanks to Caleb Wong, who is almost like a fifth member of the band.
“We hope the songs are as fun for people to listen to as they are for us to play.” - Louis Holland
“The EP title is inspired by the All Blacks recent winning streak. They say funny things in the press conferences after the game like ‘Credit Where Credit’s Due’” - Theo Thompson
Crumbly are deeply influenced by the Wellington jazz scene, and can often be found playing jazz around town.
Credit Where Credit’s Due was recorded and produced in a home studio in Lower Hutt by Caleb Wong (Wongii).
