Loose & Colourful is undoubtedly one of the most exciting new bands to emerge from Ōtepoti in recent years. And today they’re laying down the gauntlet, with the release of their highly-anticipated debut single One Day.

An epic banger for summer with a driving reggae groove, a catchy-as-hell chorus that makes you want to move your feet, bop your head and get your ‘stank face on’, One Day showcases the reason why Loose & Colourful is one of the most loved bands on the Dunedin live scene right now.

Dedicated to those who have been there from the beginning, the band says “it serves as a message to our ‘day one’ fans, who’ve been on this journey with us during our ‘cover band’ phase, inciting them to stay on board cause the journey has just begun and there’s something much bigger coming — this is just the tip of the iceberg.”

As it happens, One Day is the first ever song Loose & Colourful ever wrote, and it’s seen a fair few changes over the years, but it’s a track close to their heart. “It’s a very sentimental one for us. We’re all locals of Dunedin, so it’s really a dedication to our fans here who have been patiently waiting for us to drop an original. This one's for you and we hope we’ve done you all proud.”

A confident debut, with the promise of more kick-ass music to come, One Day sets the pace for an exciting summer and year ahead. Renowned for their slick live performances and having chalked up shows alongside the likes of Sons of Zion, Summer Thieves, Masaya and Wax Mustang, Loose & Colourful is a band destined for big things.
