Six60: Till the Lights Go Out: The Documentary Of The Decade, On TVNZ 2

10 June 2021 - 0 Comments

On Monday 14th June at 8:30pm, the “crazily epic and filmed beautifully” (Flicks.co.nz) music documentary about New Zealand’s biggest band will bring together the nation, available to watch for the first time on TV and OnDemand.

Directed by Julia Parnell, New Zealand’s most prominent music documentary-maker, the story charts the incredible rise of Six60, a student band turned national phenomenon, achieving the unthinkable in a country of 5 million.

For one night, it’s time to dive into a real Aotearoa story of five Kiwis taking on the music industry and aiming to be great. Reconciling between ambition and creative vulnerability, SIX60 confront the true cost of never giving up.

New Zealand are currently the envy of the world. Six60 have played the two biggest concerts globally since the epidemic begun, Western Springs II and Eden Park. Venturing back to the roots of Six60, witness the unique backstories of each member and the obstacles they had to overcome to achieve the unthinkable. Six60 have become the “world’s biggest live act” (Billboard), selling 190,000 tickets since 2019. This is the untold story.

Featuring a soundtrack comprised of all their hit songs, Six60: Till the Lights Go Out gives audiences unprecedented access to the band untold story. Laugh, cry and sing along with the documentary of the decade so far.
