Band & Musician News - DateMonthYear announce release of 'The Exodus Suite'

DateMonthYear announce release of 'The Exodus Suite'

05 May 2021 - 0 Comments

DateMonthYear, the eclectic and forward-thinking music experience from Hamilton, New Zealand, is proud to announce the release of the final stage in a new work, called The Exodus Suite, from April 26, 2021.

The Exodus Suite is a collection of five Soundscapes / Ambient musical pieces. The first four which were periodically released as video interpretations, from October 2020.The music was written and produced by DateMonthYear founder and mainstay Trevor Faville, mixed in America by Martin Porter, and mastered back in Hamilton by Andi Verse.

As Faville explains "After releasing four of The Exodus Suite pieces with visual interpretations, it's a bit of a relief to finish up the whole project by releasing all five of the pieces as audio- it’s been a fun ride!"

DateMonthYear continues to be a proudly independent music-making institution, and The Exodus Suite is exactly the kind of creative project that DateMonthYear was intended to produce. The music is influenced by Horror/Sci-Fi soundtracks, Musique Concrete, and is a challenging and hopefully disturbing listen.
