New Zealand’s very-own Georgia Lines’ hit single Made For Loving has been remixed by leading Australian DJ and producer Jack Burton AKA Mikah Freeman.

Made For Loving is one of the stand-out songs on Georgia’s self-titled EP released earlier this year. Listen to the EP HERE

Written and recorded in just two days in Houston, Texas, the original is a warm and uplifting track, which showcases the Kiwi artist’s exquisite vocals. Now, at the hands of Jack Burton AKA Mikah Freeman - who many will recognise as one half of the renowned radio duo on Triple J’s The Aston Shuffle - Made For Loving has been given a groove-filled, funk-fueled make-over just in time for summer.

“It was super exciting to work with Jack Burton / Mikah on the remix. It’s always fun hearing a new interpretation of a song you have written especially when it is done well,” says Georgia. “I love the fun, dance, summery vibes… and how he has pulled out parts and layers that were in the track that I had forgotten even existed or didn't realise were in there. It’s brought such a fresh approach to the song.”

Inspired by the erotic frivolity of the 60's, caramel-smooth funk of the 70's and the digital uprising of club music in the 80's and 90's, Jack Burton is already creating a huge buzz in the disco and house scene. And for Mikah, working on ‘Made For Loving’ was a thrill. “It’s an incredible song. I was instantly hooked and felt a club version… could be really special. Georgia Lines is an amazing artist and I cannot wait for the world to hear this song.”

Born and raised in Mount Maunganui, Georgia’s star has been on the rise. Her five-track EP contained a string of winning singles, including Vacant Cities, Never Had Love and My Love. The record received radio play in New Zealand and has clocked up more than a million streams on Spotify.

Now back in the studio, fans can expect new and exciting things from Georgia in 2021.
