Maxine Macaulay is currently living in Berlin and it was her passion for music that took her there. A vocalist, producer and a musician Macaulay produces and releases music under the alias Goodnight My Darling aka ‘GMD’. She recently announced the release of her Covid induced lo-fi album named Dreams set for release December 20, 2020.
If you look too much into your dreams, isn’t that drawing away from real life? Well the same goes with music. This skillful communicator has crafted low fidelity music which will transport you towards your aspirations. Passion makes a great ally as does being involved in the arts. It also provides space for healing, says GMD.
GMD has developed amazing knowledge in electronic production and techniques to perform after spending three years at Massey University of Wellington studying Commercial music. She believes that change is necessary in today's society and has committed to a life of it through the medium of music. In addition to offering her time to the music industry, she has interests in International Relations and although it may not have been the best time to move from NZ to Berlin she is greatly appreciating her time in the stimulating and cultural environment.
Her album Dreams is expected to offer your brain just enough stimulation to tune out stress and be productive, says GMD. It can be heard and used endlessly which will help induce a relaxing effect. It fits well very well with anyone’s daily routine work as it is an undertone that enables listeners to focus on their work. The genre lo-fi electronic dream-hop is very calming. “If you want your life to get better, you have to get better.” Play better now!
