Talented rapper Diggy Dupe changes gears in That’s Team ft. AP, the third single from his forthcoming debut album That's Me, That's Team. While previous singles Keke Boy and CT&T reflected the rapper’s life and upbringing, he says the new single is about his team and where they’re going.

“This track is an accumulation of all the hard work we’ve been putting in over the last decade. We did everything ourselves and that’s what’s special about what we have.” Diggy Dupe says.

“This ain't no overnight success shit, we’ve built our brand from the ground up. It may have taken longer than most but it felt organic and that’s all that mattered. It’s the last single before the album so I feel as if it's the icing on the cake, somewhat of a feel good celebration track for me and my peers. Having success whether it be big or small is way better with friends.”

New Zealand’s hip hop community is known for being collaborative and supporting each other’s projects. ‘That’s Team’ is a fine example of that, with the beat supplied by SWIDT’s SmokeyGotBeatz, a verse from AP (Albert Purcell of Church & AP) and Diggy’s mentor Rizvan overseeing production on the track, plus a whole lot of friends showing up to appear in the video.

“We were taught at a young age to move as a unit and to help each other out, that’s team, that’s family. I’m blessed to have good people around me such as Rizvan, my manager Jerome and my DJ Garethxmf. We all have our strengths as individuals so there’s no denying one's personal greatness but when we link up it's like on some Voltron shit,” Diggy says.

“We filmed the clip at ZeroNine Customs, they’ve always been good to us so big thanks to the team there. Also shoutout to everybody that pulled through to the video shoot, seeing so many different people from different walks of life come together is what it’s all about.”
