Bio
Fourth Member are the classic story of a small town band that took their big rock sound to the big city.
Mike, John and Scott have been living in each others back pockets for over 18 years. With such a strong friendship, it made sense to form a rock band.
With in the space of just over a year, Fourth Member have taken there e-mail fanbase to 750, produced and recorded a 3 track CD, released a self funded music video which featured on 2 Music TV channels, got a write up in NZ’s premier music mag Rip It Up, organized their own North Island tour of NZ and received an invite to tour the world with a triple platinum selling NZ artist! Having seen all this good work, companies like Globe, Dirty Dog Eyewear and Jansen have sponsored Fourth Member to capitalize on their rising success and attention. During this time Fourth Member also released their first single 'Sunsets' to radio and TV, the single went to Number 1 on a prominent NZ music website….and the story continues on.
When music fans first hear Fourth Member, many cannot believe that it’s a three piece that they are listening to. With the grunt filled sound projected to the fans and the energy onstage, Fourth Member take three-piece rock to searing new heights.
Fourth Member have now disbanded, playing their final gig at Parachute 06.

The End Of Fourth Member Posted: Thu Feb 2, 2006 8:01 pm This just through on the Fourth Member mailing list: Hey All We just all wanted to let you know that after 10 years of rock and roll, Fourth Member are hanging up the guitars for good. We played our final gig at Parachute 06 Mystery Creek in Hamilton last weekend. Our EP is still for sale for $14.95. Its the last run so be quick and dont miss out. Fourth Member on TOTP Posted: Wed Jul 27, 2005 10:42 am Fourth Member will perform for TOP OF THE POPS at the Transmission Room in Auckland Friday July 29th. Doors: 5:45pm – first in first served. Numbers strictly limited to 250 people. Venue: Transmission Room, basement of Sofrana House on the corner of Queen Street and Mayoral Drive, Auckland Central (behind the Queen\'s Head pub). 'Sunsets' to be used in nationwide Suzuki Radio campaign Posted: Wed Sep 15, 2004 7:22 pm Suzuki New Zealand have picked up Fourth Members first pop/rock single 'Sunsets' as a theme song for their next nationwide radio ad campaign. This is great news for the guys who have put alot of effort into marketing and gaining support from all non-musical sources ,this will also generate alot of exposure for their music. |

Fourth Member Wins 1st Battle of the Bands Heat Posted: Thu Jul 24, 2003 6:40 pm The very first heat of the Nationwide Battle of the Bands has been won by Fourth Member along with Fuser. The boyes battled it out at the kings Arms in Auckland on Wednesday night with three other awesome bands. Thanks to all who turned up to support us . Its onto the semi's now, date to be advised. |

Fourth Member News Posted: Mon Apr 28, 2003 11:24 am The single that Fourth Member is recording with Wash Producer/Manager is almost completed and will hopefully be out in time for NZ Music Month. Fourth Member has also been included in the recent Waikato/ACC CD Driver out of 75 applicants. Fourth Member's single 'Sunburnt Faces' has been selected. The first run will be 50,000 copies. Fourth Member is currently trying to secure finances for a video to go with their new single. Hats and T-Shirts will be available soon to work with the newly designed fourthmember.com website that will be unveiled soon. |
