Operation Rolling Thunder

Bio

Operation Rolling Thunder is Adam and Rob. They are brothers. They play music, which in a nutshell, is their version of rock 'n' roll.

They are influenced by many things, but musically, Bailterspace, Snapper, HDU, Fugazi, The Verlaines, The Jesus Lizard, The Clean, and AC/DC are sources of continual inspiration and joy.

Operation Rolling Thunder have played many shows with many bands including the mighty HDU, the manic Die! Die! Die!, the sublime Bats and the legendary Dead C.

Operation Rolling Thunder’s debut album has had an extended gestation period, having been recorded in 2007 at the Masonic Lodge in Port Chalmers by Dale Cotton (who has recorded High Dependency Unit, Mestar, Collapsing Cities and many more). The record was mastered for vinyl in January 2010, and pressed in the USA, finally ready for release in September 2010.

The album is available now directly through the Monkey Killer Records website, and will be available through selected stores New Zealand wide over the coming weeks.
