Lo Jac

Bio

"Lo Jac are Auckland twosome Tom Everett and Willie Tracey. They remind of early Tricky with echoes of guitarist Bill Frisell on this very confident debut. It's a slow grooving affair that pours from the speakers in a fully realized vision. Lo Jac are not afraid to take their time and should be respected for that. Some may prefer its low-key style as background music but it make's perfect late night listening with the lights down low and a drink in your hand". Four stars. - Rip It Up June/July 2003.

It was this review of Lo Jacs debut album 'Porcelain Rumours' that started the ball rolling. The endeavor to create the Lo Jac sound live has seen the addition of Bassist Dan Collins, Drummer Mikey Pomare, and the move of Willie Tracey from behind the Mixer of the studio to behind the keyboard on stage. This combined with the ever-distinctive lyrics of guitarist/singer Tom Everett has evolved the sound to include influences of Hip-Hop, Jazz, Funk, Reggae, Dub, and Soul melted into an eclectic mix of grooving goodtimes.

Lo Jac, as well as playing extensively across the Auckland circuit have performed live on TV2's Space, have had gigs in Hamilton and Palmerston North, and played with bands such as P-Bass Expressway and One Million Dollars on their album release tours.
