Gypsy Pickers

Bio

The Gypsy Pickers (aka The Valentes) are a multi-instrument duo known for their engaging live performances that have kept them busy on the local and international touring scene for many years.

They deliver a top notch live show with tight 'n zesty musicianship, passionate vocals and strong rhythms. They have a diverse repertoire to suit any event, with music that moves from jazz and blues to evocative acoustic dance music, and with fun, novelty tunes to entice and entertain.

The Gypsy Pickers cover a wide variety of styles including reggae, blues, jazz, rock, bluegrass, celtic, cajun, latin, world and popular styles, with a mix of favourite covers and their own originals.

The Gypsy Pickers' latest release 'Baghdad Saloon' has received airplay in New Zealand, Australia and the USA, and has been on the Amplifier charts. The duo have also been involved in recording projects with music artists Max Maxwell, Bluey, Trinity Roots and Pitch Black, collaborating on tracks which have been included in bfm award nominations.

There is a new album of Gypsy Pickers acoustic originals in process.

Band Members:
Ron Valente (lead guitar, rhythm guitar, mandolin)
Lindy Valente (fingerstyle guitar, rhythm guitar, 5-string banjo, melodica)
