The Deadbeats

Bio

The Deadbeats are a school-age ska/punk band from the North Shore possessing a rare old school sound for a band so young. They have been described as sounding in a similar vein to one of the greatest of the original UK punk bands, Stiff Little Fingers, but state their influences as the more contemporary Operation Ivy and Rancid.

Formed in mid-2001, The Deadbeats have quickly racked up shows in Auckland with the likes of We Dunno, Losing Face, All For Nothing and Seven Mile Midway. The band are concentrating on their live show, with no immediate plans for recording or touring, rather to continue creating an impact on the Auckland scene.

Band Members:
Joseph 'Joe' Ling (vocals, guitar)
Thor 'Lank' Bergquist (bass, vocals)
Aaron '2 Hands' Cole (guitar, vocals)
Scott 'Unit' Nolan (drums)
