Wendyhouse formed in 1992 as a one-off art installation for Soundwatch '92, Artspace, Auckland.
Twenty-six years later and the band is still going. Existing around core members Bryce 'Mr Pudding' Galloway and EE Monk, Wendyhouse have often added personnel to flesh out recordings and live appearances.
Wendyhouse make sporadic appearances live or on recent CD/Comics. The most recent project by the duo is Banana Wine; a CD/Comic released in conjunction with the Audio Foundation and funded by Massey University's College of Creative Arts. The official launch for Banana Wine @ The Audio Foundation December 19, with Wendyhouse in residence to write and record NEW material. Banana Wine is available for NZ$10 + postage by emailing a.b.gal[email protected] or posting PO Box 27527, Wellington 6141, NZ.
Core members Pudding and EE monk are split between NZ and Germany, so projects are sporadic. However, both Pudding and EE monk will be covering Miley Cyrus songs for a CD to accompany a 2019 issue of Pudding's zine Incredibly Hot Sex with Hideous People. The CD - My Life With Miley Cyrus - will join previous "tributes" to John Lennon, The Eagles and Madonna, as Pudding attempts to cover artists that are impossible to avoid over any all time favourites.

Wendyhouse In Stereo Hell Posted: Tue May 25, 2004 8:19 am A new Wendyhouse CD entitled 'Pan' is currently being pressed for release next month. The CD is two album-length mono recordings on the one disc; EE monk taking the left channel or speaker for his album, and Mr Pudding taking the right. Listeners are invited to pan back and forth for their favourite mono tracks or leave the dial somewhere in the middle for a bizarre aural collision. Both albums have identical track listings and some of the tracks even work together despite being recorded in isolation by the two artists. |
