Bio

Coridian is an alternative/progressive rock group from Auckland, New Zealand.

Formed in 2015, the band consists of brothers Mike Raven (Guitars/Keys), Kris Raven (Drums/Percussion), Nick Raven (Bass) and Dity Maharaj (Vocals/Lyrics/Art).

They’ve been described, "Raven brothers (Mike, Kris and Nick respectively) work as a well-oiled machine; the gear box of which is Maharaj, his vocals taking the band from a hum to a scream within seconds" (Ambient Light).

They've worked with some of the best names in Kiwi and Australian music including Zorran Mendonsa (City Of Souls/Crooked Royals) Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Shihad) and Ermin Hamidovic (Architects/Intervals).

Coridian have toured extensively around Aotearoa, including several of their headlining tours and performing with high profile NZ acts such as Devilskin, City of Souls, I Am Giant, Ekko Park, Dead Favors, Skinny Hobos and Written by Wolves.

They’ve also supported international acts such as Skillet (USA), P.O.D (USA), Fuel (USA), Fozzy (USA), Sumo Cyco (CAN) and Red Sea (AUS).

Over the past five years, Coridian has released a string of singles and music videos (including Nz On Air funded Reflections, Rite of Passage and State of Mind, plus three EP’s as part of their Elements concept series. Previous releases include 2015's Oceanic (Water), 2017's Caldera (Earth) and 2020's Eldur (Fire) which has amassed a worldwide following.

2023 is the year of Hava (Air), the final chapter and full length album. With the first single Wicked Game (a reimagining of Chris’s Issak’s classic tale) being released in 2021 followed by Endless War, a new chapter for Coridian begins. Sep 2022 saw the release of Rakshasa, the 3rd single featuring Michael Murphy with NZ On Air funded 4th single State of Mind dropping in November to finish off 2022. Their 5th and final single Co-Exist drops February 2023 before their debut album on March 10th. A massive 13 track album, available on CD & Vinyl, Coridian will spend 2023 and 2024 touring NZ, Australia and beyond.
