Pinn Tweaks

Bio

Jason Peters is a man of many guises. Formerly the drummer with 90’s rock legends Pumpkinhead, and more recently producing for the hip hop/funk/soul act Kong Fooey. This Friday November 6th he will launch his latest creative endeavour, the cleverly-named Pinn Tweaks.

Debut Pinn Tweaks single Tear the Walls Down mixes up hip hop / trap with RnB and soul, and features some fantastic vocal talent: Dilz and J Williams.

Dilz is a 24-year-old hip hop artist whose album Metamorphosis debuted at #2 on the New Zealand Hip Hop charts. J Williams is a singer and hip hop dancer whose crews have been medal winners at the World Hip-Hop Dance Champs. In 2008 his debut album Young Love debuted at No.5 on the NZ Official NZ Music Charts; from 2013 – 2016 he toured Australia in The Lion King.

What is Tear The Walls Down about you ask? We all build walls within ourselves that sabotage our goals and dreams, walls that are built from fear and judgement. This song is a rally cry to tear down those walls, stand tall and live your dreams.

Look out for more music and collaborations with the very best in Aotearoa talent in 2021 and beyond.
