Bio

A New Zealand born music producer and DJ.

She is the daughter The Commodores bassist Ronald LaPread and grew up surrounded by musical Icons and legends. She recalls being side of stage with the George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelics in Huntsville, AL Spending time with musical icons such as Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder which eventually inspired her to pursue music.

Soraya lives in Los Angeles where she has played the Sunset strip and West Hollywood’s most reputable venues and parties. She has had residencies at: The W hotel - Hollywood, The Standard Hotel (West Hollywood - Downtown LA), House of Blues, The Roxy, Chateau Marmont, The Whiskey and also the Viper Room. She has played at a number of major US and NZ festivals, including Afro-Punk (Brooklyn, NYC), Arcosanti (Arizona), Rhythm & Vines (NZ) & Northern Bass (NZ), Listen In Festival, Pharros (NZ) 2019.

Soraya toured with Singing sensations JoJo and Quin. Shared stages at festivals and opened for artists Rae Sremmurd, A$ap Rocky, Childish Gambino, Skrilex and Skepta.
Soraya has also DJ’d private events for celebrities and artists such as Selena Gomez, Sam Smith, Celine Dion, as well as DJing for brands such as TopShop, Perrier Jouet, Vice, Soundcloud, Moschino, Samsung, Harmun Grubisa & Huffer.
