Bio
Echolypse is an instrumental progressive metal band from New Zealand. Since 2009, founding members Marcus, Nathan and Keyboardist Mark have been performing their expansive, engaging live set, culminating early 2012 with their first release 'Two'. The sound of Echolypse comes from the wide variety of influences each member has. From Meshuggah to Dream theater, Opeth to Porcupine Tree, their progressive roots are also blending with the harmony and atmosphere of Pink Floyd, Radiohead and Muse. The recent studio demo "Two" captures the energy of the live Echolypse show, forshadowing the upcoming album which is currently being written.
