Lyrics

Going Away To Collage

She lives in a small dutch town, just fifteen minutes from the German border. And everything is brick and cobblestone; the church where her Oma religiously attends – it's made of brick. And the have a wall, and they put glass to stop people from climbing over – the wall was brick as well.
She fancied herself a writer but she never put her heart to it, she just spent time with her brother. She always dreamed of escaping to another city, where she could pursue all her dreams. And it was always in the back of her mind that they built this wall with glass in it.
They built a wall with glass in it, a wall with glass to stop people climbing over to see the other side.
She had this idea that she would sleep forever, live in a dream. So she took her small Italian car to Den Haag and walked the rest of the way to the ocean. She would walk in, she could dream at the bottom, and Death and Hades had their way with her, she didn't dream – she had but nightmare.
And in her rest she'd cry out, but their was always a wall with glass in it to stop people from climbing over.
