NRG Rising is the world’s first mother and daughters trio to front fresh, fun and conscious reggae, showcasing soulful vocals & soothing harmonies. NRG Rising's fresh, female reggae has two main themes; one of fun, good times and love, and the other sharing messages that support self determination through personal development, including messages of belief, strength, and understanding. The debut album “From Darkness To Light” rings true to the two main themes, containing celebratory, upbeat melodies, heart-warming vibes and thought-provoking lyrics that are sure to become quick favourites.

Within their first 18 months, this energetic, entertaining and driven band achieved many musical milestones, including the following highlights;

• Performed 52 gigs, 36 of these being NRG Rising signature gigs
• Performed gigs in Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Gisborne, Tauranga, Taupo, Napier, Papakura, Parakai, Ngongotaha, Rotoiti, Wairoa, Hastings (Clive), Ngaruawahia, Otorohanga, Waihi, Mt Maunganui, Tokomaru Bay, Whitianga, Waiuku, Whakatane, Ruatoki, Raglan, Kawhia
• Performed with NZ's greatest Reggae bands Katchafire & Cornerstone Roots
• Supported/opened 8 gigs for 1814
• Performed at numerous festivals and fundraisers
• Headlined at Waitangi Day Hastings Feb 2010
• Headlined at Kawhia Kai Festival Feb 2011
• First single ”Summertime Party” released in June 2010
• ”Summertime Party” single number 1 on Tanui radio Jul 2010
• “Summertime Party” single number 5 on Top 20 Pacific Radio Charts
• First album recorded at Revolver Studios, Waiuku in Nov 2010
• First album released in Feb 2011
• First song in Te Reo Maori released Feb 2011 (with album)
• Raised $10,000 USD from fans worldwide to support album production
• NRG Rising YouTube videos at 34,959 views
• NRG Rising Facebook Fan Page at 4,316 fans
• Performing at Hamilton, New Plymouth in Feb 2011
• First Album ''From Darkness to Light” Release Tour scheduled May – July 2011

NRG Rising has a strong foundation that is witnessed daily as the band creates music, practices for their performances, performs on stage, and goes about achieving their ambitious musical goals. The NRG Rising is guided by the following principles;

• To bring some fresh female, sassy feels, and messages and music to the national and international reggae music scene
• To support the empowerment and rangatiratanga (self determination) of all people around the world, one by one
• To support and promote the development of unique NZ and Pacific reggae through whakawhanaungatanga (extended family relationships)
• To connect and share with our indigenous brothers and sisters, their culture and music, and together share it with the world
• To promote and celebrate contemporary music with unique traditional cultural flavours
