A Cut & Paste Project

Bio

A Cut & Paste Project has been operating in the local auckland scene since their first show as THE Cut & Paste Project in December 2007 - Since then they've grown out from their initial and traditional hip-hop two-piece line up of an emcee and a DJ, and morphed into a 4-piece, adding live drums and bass to the line up.
Their sound is distinctive, taking great strides towards a pure and original sound. Live drumming and bass with samples played over the top provides a live hip-hop canvas with embellishing elements of hardcore punk, funk, and jazz thrown in the mix.

From covering songs by 90s hip-hop acts, A Tribe Called Quest and Black Sheep, to dropping in fierce breakdowns and stop-on-a-dime changes, live shows are unpredictable, and always crowd-friendly.

Band Members:
Alex (production, keys)
Clifton (vocals)
Yves (bass)
Justin (drums)
