Hi all, I would hope that this will be without doubt THE most important date of your year coming up!

Forbidden Joe are releasing their debut EP "Oh, what a queer sensation..."
at The Masonic Tavern, Devonport on November 14th.

And you are all most cordially invited to come and celebrate!

With Support from Andrew Keoghan
kicking the evening off at 8pm.

Doors open from 7pm so make sure you're there early to get a seat. Tickets are $10 on the door.
and the EP "Oh, what a queer sensation..." will be on sale for $15

Get an EP or three....

If you miss out cause you cant make it on the 14th you can order your copy of "Oh, what a queer sensation..." directly from the band by replying to this email. This option sees all proceeds going to the band.

Alternatively, copies will also be available from NZ music website Amplifier, Slowboat Records in Wellington, The CD Store in Devonport, as well as a handful of other stores around the country (details coming soon).

And don't forget this weekend, the Parnell Festival of Roses the Oparau Acoustic Festival - Saturday 8th November, where we are playing with the Windy City Strugglers. It's going to be the place to be!

Beards, sandals, and banjos!

Forbidden Joe.

Forbidden Joe Radio Interviews
Posted: Wed Oct 22, 2008 8:50 pm
This from Forbidden Joe:

Good day everyone,

As we're sitting here in truly typical Wellington weather (wind to break your umbrella and rain to soak you to the bones) we'd like to let you know about more radio things in the works.

Firstly - tomorrow, at 1:10pm, we're being interviewed on Concert FM. You can find the frequency for your area at http://www.radionz.co.nz/concert/home.

If you missed out on our Friday interview on National Radio, you can listen to the podcast: http://www.radionz.co.nz/audio/national/aft/2008/10/17/nz_live_-_forbidden_joe.

We're really looking forward to see some of you lovely people at the Wellington Folk Festival this weekend, hopefully it's not too wet! We've packed our gumboots just in case...

And thanks to those who were at the Mayfair last night, it was a lovely night Happy

Joe love comin' your way!

Forbidden Joe

All please gather around closely for the latest FJ update, we don't want anyone else hearing about it....

We are being interviewed on National Radio on Friday October 17 at 1:15 by Jim Mora. Go see http://www.radionz.co.nz/ to find frequency information for your specific area. There's also an online Live Audio Stream on the website. We'll be talking all about our upcoming EP, as well as performing a few tracks live in the studio.

Next week's going to be fun: we're playing at the Upper Hutt Folk Club on Tuesday October 21. It happens at the Mayfair Cafe, 116 Main St, Upper Hutt. The first half starts at 8pm, we'll be on around 9:15pm.

After that, we're spending a couple of days hanging out in Wellington, doing some promo for the CD. And then, on the weekend....

The Wellington Folk Festival. For all the information about this event, go to http://www.wellingtonfolkfestival.org.nz/. We're doing a workshop on the Saturday morning, a concert on Sunday morning, and performing in the final concert on the Sunday night. The festival runs from October 24 - 27 and is held at the Brookfields Outdoor Education Centre, Wainuiomata, Wellington.

For those of you not in Wellington, pass the message on to those who you think might take an interest...

Stay tuned for more breaking news!
