Bruce Conlon

Bio

Bruce was the heartbeat and main songwriter of the popular rock band, ‘Eight’, and is considered to be one of New Zealand’s most talented songwriters.

The group formed in 1996 and were lauded for allowing their music to breathe and take shape over time, independently releasing their critically acclaimed first album ‘Build’.

Then in 2004 Sony BMG (NZ) released their Gold selling album ‘Moving’. Thanks to Bruce’s powerful songwriting and the hardwork of the band the album produced 6 hit singles and music videos, including #4 hit ‘Centre of Me’ and the huge #1 ‘No way to decide’

Bruce’s 1st single ‘Two Worlds Colliding’ off his new solo album ‘Audience of One’ was nominated for ‘Best Solo Artist’ video for at Juice TV awards 2007

In 2006 Bruce moved to London to work on his debut solo album. The album signaled a transition from creating ‘sound-scapes’ and a soundtrack experience to 11 new tracks that invoke every kind of emotion you can think of.

With over 1000 live performances to date and recently in London including the London City Showcase, Koko, Cafe De Paris and Fulham Palace.

Bruce is an engaging and charsmatic perfomer who lives and perfoms for his fans. When watching Bruce you are watching a complete show where every detail is taken into consideration so the fan ‘has the ultimate experience’. This is why Bruce has so many loyal fans that follow his career with enthuasism.

Bruce credits with the heaviest influences on him as a musician, artists such as The Cure, Björk, Bruce Springsteen, Kings of Leon. Produced by Nick Manders and Bruce, and mixed by Sam Gibson (Pearl Jam, Natalie Imbruglia, Crowded House, Bic Runga).

The new album ‘Audience of One’ is independently self funded and is available for further development and release in all territories.
