Came A Mighty Banjo

Bio

Came A Mighty Banjo is the notorious collection of four young men, banding together to play some very unwholesome post-hardcore and disturb the populace of Hamilton.

Formed in early 2005 almost by accident as a result of a one-year promise made between two of the current band members, the band shocked many after an almighty first performance in June, showcasing their oddball musical styling, dischordance and obtuse behaviour.

The fun-loving group, fronted by Mike Johnston (lead vocals), can be described as a fun blend of Alexisonfire, Norma Jean and Every Time I Die. However, the lyrical content may not be as fun as the band - their debut album will be a ten-song opus, detailing one month in the life of 'the writer' and how what seems to be the perfect relationship is nothing but a fallacy.

Johnston, who handles the band's lyrics, has stated that the story is suppposed to say that teenage romance and relationships should not be taken as seriously as some tend to take it (the final song 'Curses' details a double homicide and a suicide).

Band Members:
Mike Johnston (vocals)
Zane Luckie (guitar, vocals)
Dominic Cameron (bass)
Jeremy Hantler (drums)
