Soda is a rock band based in Auckland, New Zealand. They have been together for 3 years and have developed a strong reputation for their live show due to the strength of songwriting and musicality.
After the coverage received for Soda’s first single 'Locked Out', the band has toured with Zed and played support to many of NZ's top acts including The Feelers, Tadpole, Eye TV, Fur Patrol and Wash.
'Locked Out' also got picked up on WSIA in New York setting the band's vision larger for the album which is currently in development and it’s writing stages with Darren Poole from Massive Artists.
Influences include U2, Tonic, Sting, Vertical Horizon, Incubus, The Wallflowers, Crowded House, Jeff Buckley and Elliot Smith.
Soda released their latest NZ on Air funded single, 'Falling Faster Now' in April 2003. The track has a rockier edge compared to their last single 'Locked Out' and it captures many emotional states from contemplative to distraught whilst retaining that melodic hook that keeps you wanting more. The sound is powerful and vocally distinctive.
Band Members:
Paul Bosuader (vocals, guitar)
Meesh Bosuader (drums)
Mike Vitalli (vocals, guitar)
Glovebox (bass)

Soda Drummer Gets Award! Posted: Thu Aug 8, 2002 12:47 pm Eighteen year old Michael (Meesh) Bosauder has been awarded a drum sponsorship from Tama, making him the youngest New Zealand drummer to be endorsed by Tama Drums. The sponsorship entitles Meesh to a custom made Tama drum kit and in return Meesh would use the Tama kit at live performances and music videos, appear at three drum clinics and be available to evaluate new Tama products.
