TSENATE - Single Review: Superstar

10 Feb 2023 // A review by Corinne Rutherford
New Zealand based artist/producer TSENATE has recently released her third single Superstar, which follows on from her debut single 4 The Ride in 2021 and No1 Else Feels Like Home in 2022. Her latest track has a sound reminiscent of early 2000 RnB which oozes slow jam vibes.

Influenced by alternative RnB artists, TSENATE has a timeless sound infused with fresh melodic vocals. Superstar offers an old school, sultry RnB flavour which transports you back in time.

This is a track with a nostalgic feel, skilfully balancing the intimate reflective lyrics with a warm sound. Leisurely winding its way through the difficulties of a breakup.

TSENATE is not only an ardent young singer to put on your music radar, but she also aspires to continue working in the film and theatre industry. Featuring guitar work by Maraky, Superstar is written by TSENATE and produced by Mazbou Q (Unchained XL).

This track does what it sets out to do, taking the listener on a trip down memory lane with its easy listening smooth mellow delivery and soulful melody. The accompanying music video which is available to view on YouTube is a celebration of Family and Self.

Rating: ( 4 / 5 )
