Kovan - Single Review: Permanent

19 Sep 2020 // A review by Freecell

Here's the latest single from Hip-Hop / RnB artist Kovan.

Titled Permanent, this track goes straight into the beat and rapping after a short intro. The phrase "permanent friends" is constantly repeated throughout this song. With a tidy production and a hint of old school, the song itself has a good flow and dance beat and it would go down well at a club, festival or even on a Bluetooth speaker.

Along with the banging beat there's an interesting arrangement of background sounds which keeps the song interesting. Kovan's unique rap style consists of a continuous sequence of lyrics that keep on flowing throughout the song. The bass line in the song is on point and sounds very, very cool.

Permanent is only 3 minutes long, but it sure packs a punch. It has a straight-to-business attitude, with beat dropping as soon as you push play. I'm definitely keen to hear some more tunes from this talented artist.
