Well-established Kapiti based singer and writer, AJ Crawshaw and his band have just released a thought-provoking new single
The Lightning. A motivational pop infused rock track about living life and connecting with what makes you feel alive.
This is a lively number, with bucket loads of upbeat energy and solid expressive vocals. Vigorous drumming from Dan Watson “sonically bashing out a rock bands version of a dance beat”, complements the clean bass from Simon Laracy and driving electric guitar
from Cam Sutton; altogether creating a substantial auditory treat of clean tight sound.
AJ Crawshaw proves that he can harmoniously belt out a ripper of a track with The Lightning. This is a great Kiwi summer rock track to get you moving. Clever layering of vocals and instruments add to the complexity of this single.
The album art for this single release is stunning work by Carl Ingram, which really depicts the vibe of the track and the story of the song.

Recognised for his distinct style of writing, which is fused with flavours of acoustic folk and heavy alternative rock routes, AJ layers his work with multiple instruments and vocals.
