About a month ago, I was invited to watch Aaradhna showcase some new songs from her new amazing album Treble and Reverb. It’s been out for about 5 days now, have you heard it? If not you need to, this girl is about to blow up, especially since she is currently in negotiations with International Music Labels to take her soul sound around the world.
I walked into Nectar bar in Kingsland not really sure what to expect, but saw some really cool old records as coasters on the tables, tiki hut style out on the back deck and some guys all in matching two-tone outfits gracing the stage setting up their gear. It was kinda like I had rolled back into the 50’s but island styles which I loved.
Aaradhna played some songs from her new album which I can’t get enough of, I have played it for everyone I know and they all love it too! Her soul style is mature but so fresh. It is a tribute to how good you are when your back up singers are also beautiful soul singers in their own right, the stunning Bella Kalolo and Rosita Vai. So much talent on one stage and they absolutely blew me away with their effortless harmonies always in unison. Playing the number one single ‘Wake up’ I don’t think I could have been more in awe of how naturally beautiful Aaradhna’s voice is. I am so excited to see more of her live and wait in anticipation for the announcement of a tour over the summer, it will be one not to miss!
It’s no secret that Aaradhna is the South Pacific’s #1 Soul Diva.
Aaradhna who is of Samoan and Indian descent, epitomizes the strong, independent female RnB diva that is the benchmark for performers today.
