Ammp - On the song All I Wanted from Garageband

Simply a fantastic pop song!
Good catchy intro with good, melodic chords and a good beat. When the singer comes in, the song instantly becomes beautiful. What a voice! It is warm and soft. Nice backup vocals as well! When you sing "I hope it's today" before the first chorus, it sounds like you are going to get problems with the higher notes, but the chorus proves me wrong.
The second time the chorus comes in I just think to myself "I love this!" as soon as it gets back to the chorus it is amazingly beautiful. This song goes into my garageband favorite list immediately!
I like that the band plays simple and tight, never interfering with the lead singer. The playing is straightforward and steady, and when you get to the "All I wanted, all I needed" part you just make that little change in the beat which is very effectful. I also like the 7 and maj7 chords just before the chorus, they change the mood a tiny little bit before the fantastic chorus comes.
Simply a fantastic song, this one!

About Ammp
Releasing their debut album in 2011 From the back of the sun to lots of radio play the debut album had many singles and 9 music videos.
A few accolades along the way, Mat and Andy in TV2 songstar documentry, NZ on Air grants for All I Wanted, Ironman and an NZ on Air rebate for single Go. Six songs on The Rock, 2 on Classic hits and one on ZM. 3 tunes made it to the semis of the international unsigned Songwriting competition.

Blast from the Future The intro instantly lets you know what you're in for.Brash Guitars on top of a great drum and Bass guitar track lifts us into a startlingly Powerful and melodic Vocal delivery,which although faintly remeniscent of the "irish bloke" Still possesses a lot of raw emotion of it's own.

Ammp is a rock band from New Zealand and I'll come right out and say they are one of my personal favorite independent bands right now!
