Modest, humble, and understated Denver McCarthy holds a secret... He is considered to be one of the Godfathers of NZ techno, active around Auckland in the 90's. Will catches up with his old friend who has returned to NZ to receive a Taite Award for his 1998 album Inside a Quiet Mind under the moniker Micronism. It's a deep dive reminisce about Denver's entire musical journey from High School Battle of the Bands, the Thrash metal era, his techno releases, and finally his current spiritual musical life as a Krishna devotee. Longest interview to date, but perhaps one of the most in-depth and interesting.

About Micronism

Winner of the Best Independent Album Release award at the 2000 BNet NZ Music Awards, and the 2023 IMNZ Classic Record prize at the Taite Music Awards, Micronism is the chilled minimalist styles of Denver McCarthy, possibly New Zealand's most respected producer.

Denver has also released an album under the alias Mechanism titled Morningstar.
