Bartells releases new single 'Our Love May Go Away'

27 July 2018 - 0 Comments

Bartells has a husky timbre and a love of raw acoustic guitar. His influences are the honest lyrics and memorable melodies of Ben Harper, James Taylor, Jimmy Barnes, Neil Finn and Dave Dobbyn to name a few.

His new single Our Love May Go Away takes its cue from these masters, in its seeming simplicity, intimacy, and honesty.

Of the track, Bartellssays, "Its a song about not being able to move on or feel like you will survive life without that person you love. It's about trying to get the magic back before time closes the gap and it all slips away".

Recorded and produced at Black Dog Studio in Pukekohe by Bartells and friend/bandmate, Mitch French, the song received a secondary mix from Nick Portman in L.A then mastered at Kog Studios by Chris Chetland.

Bartells plans to release more singles this year into next, with an album to follow.

Currently rehearsing with his new six-piece band, Bartellswill be taking his music to NZ in the near future.

Our Love May Go Away is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play and all good digital outlets.
