Killfest 2018 show has grown into one of the biggest must-see events in the NZ Metal scene.
Now in its second year Killfest is set to carve its name into the face of history in one of the most punishing live music experiences of 2018.
Hamilton based band Team Kill have carefully orchestrated 13 bands to take part in a gruelling 15-hour show, making it the single largest metal event in the Waikato.
This year’s event will showcase a brutal line up featuring some of the country’s heaviest and most creative original bands.
Event Co-ordinator Chuck Williams had this to say “We aren’t f***in round no more. NZ Music month is dusted and NZ Metal barely got a mention. It’s bulls**t because Metal is one of the biggest, most hardworking scenes in the country.
Killfest has 60+ musicians who are continually at the coalface of NZ Music and we are all sick of this watered down force-fed mainstream music that infects society. That’s why there is a Killfest, its designed to smash the mould, to get people thinking and to show the public they don’t have to follow fake f***in trends just cause some dam kid on Zannax mumble rapped it then shot himself. That shit ain't cool, it's f***in sad. Life is not easy and we all feel that. So this show is us getting a whole bunch of GC's together to celebrate our diversity & to solidify our unity thru God Dam heavy music and good times”
