New Jersey-native and three-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, musician and producer Jack Antonoff is the creative force behind indie-pop band Bleachers. The New York Times called their second album Gone Now, released in June, “anthemic life-affirming pop-rock” with NME awarding it a coveted 4-star review. This will be Bleachers first ever New Zealand shows and the audience’s first chance to see one of the most in-demand collaborative musicians play live. The video for acclaimed lead single ‘Don’t Take the Money’ which features Antonoff playing a clueless groom was directed by Antonoff’s long-term partner and HBO’s Girls creator Lena Dunham >> watch it here.

An esteemed writer and creative mind among his peers, Antonoff’s has collaborated with some of the biggest artists in the world to write some of the biggest hits of the year. Called your favourite pop star’s secret weapon” by Pitchfork, he most recently paired up with New Zealand superstar Lorde to write her critically acclaimed new album Melodrama, including the huge single Green Light. He has worked with Taylor Swift over the last four years, most recently to co-write six songs on her Reputation album, including the history making lead single Look What You Made Me Do. With other recent collaborators including St Vincent, Sia, Grimes and Charlie XCX, it’s easy to see why Antonoff is just about the most in-demand producer and musician of our time.

Paramore have had a truly remarkable run since forming in Nashville in 2004, from their gold-certified debut All We Know Is Falling (2005), to 2007’s 2x platinum breakthrough Riot! and platinum-certified albums Brand New Eyes(2009) and Paramore (2013). The Grammy-award winning band have consistently drawn both critical acclaim as well as a wide-ranging list of international honours and accolades, multiple Grammy nominations and a win for Best Rock Song (for Ain’t It Fun), two People’s Choice Awards, three NME Awards, three MTV Video Music Award nominations and much, much more.

Long regarded as an exhilarating live act with a non-stop show led by the fearless Hayley Williams, with Taylor York on guitar and Zac Farro back on drums, Paramore are a bona fide juggernaut, selling over 6 million albums and leaving a trail of sold out headline arena tours in their wake. They have sold out iconic venues around the world including Madison Square Garden and Wembley Arena, and performed show-stealing headline festival sets at the likes of Reading and Leeds Festivals, Riot Fest and their own four-day festival cruise PARAHOY!. With Tour Four hitting some of Australia’s most well-loved arenas, these will be Paramore’s first headline shows Down Under since their last tour in February 2014.
