New Zealand’s youngest superstar, General Fiyah, is back with another hit

One of Aotearoa’s youngest and brightest talents, General Fiyah, is back with a new summer anthem Here To Stay, which is destined to be another hit.

Listen to Here To Stay HERE

The 11-year-old singing and performing sensation from South Auckland gained international recognition when he featured on Three Houses Down’s smash hit Love and Affection released late last year. The song entered the Top 5 in the NZ Singles chart, peaked at #25 in the Radio Airplay chart and has had an impressive 1.5 million streams on Spotify, with the video clocking up an astounding two million views on YouTube.

Following the single’s release, General Fiyah toured extensively with Three Houses Down, which is made up of his father Rob and uncles Sione and Charlie Pomee, playing at some of New Zealand’s biggest festivals, including One Love.

Now the young star is set to prove he’s far from a one hit wonder, with the catchy, feel-good reggae tune Here To Stay, written by Charlie Pomee and produced in Jamaica by Shane Brown.

“The song is to let the masses know that General Fiyah is here to stay and that his music is not to be taken lightly,” says Sione. “For him, music has never been for the money nor fame, but it’s driven by passion and as long as General Fiyah is around, music will forever be with him.”

Formed in 2004 by brothers Rob, Sione and Charlie,Three Houses Down are now one of New Zealand’s most respected acts on the international stage, forging a path across the globe with their infectious blend of roots, rock and reggae, with a hint of classical sensibility.

General Fiyah will perform with Three Houses Down in Christchurch for the very first time at Winnie Bagoes on Saturday November 25 (tickets at www.ticketspace.co.nz ) and there are plans for him to join the band at other gigs over summer, where he’ll perform his songs.
