Music News - Auckland City Limits Music Festival Returns For 2017

CRS, C3 Presents and Live Nation Entertainment (NYSE: LYV) are pleased to announce Auckland City Limits Music Festival will return to Auckland's Western Springs stadium and park on Saturday 11 March 2017.
The inaugural Auckland City Limits opened its gates on March this year to 25,000 fans who enjoyed performances from more than 40 international and local artists, including Kendrick Lamar, The National, Action Bronson and Fat Freddy’s Drop among many others.
Festival promoter Campbell Smith says he’s thrilled to be announcing the 2017 date for the second ACL “It has always been our intention to establish Auckland City Limits as an annual event, so we are excited to be able to set the date for our second year. Festival fans can start planning. We have some amazing artists coming and we are already working hard to ensure ACL 2017 will be bigger and better".
The one-day all ages music festival will once again showcase artists from across a broad range of musical genres over multiple stages, outstanding Auckland chefs will provide culinary delights in Auckland Eats, local visual artists will create site-specific art installations throughout the venue, and Auckland Kiddie Limits will provide entertainment and fun for the under 11's.
Inspired by and aligned with the world-class Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, Texas, Auckland City Limits Music Festival 2017 will announce its first lineup of artists and go on sale in October.
