Grand Rapids' new single 'Wreck & Ruin'

01 September 2014 - 0 Comments

Ben King is pleased to announce the new Grand Rapids single Wreck & Ruin, out today.

Wreck & Ruin is yet another beautifully melancholic but uplifting offering from this accomplished songwriter, showcasing his emotive, vocal clarity and wonderful sense of harmony.

The brand new video, directed by Si Moore was made from manipulated late 1940’s footage from a Greyhound promotional film.

"We were searching for some kind of disarming and charming historical footage that had that 50s-ish facade of 'everyone here is happy' - in fact, the original reference was that old American sitcom Happy Days.” says Moore. “We lucked across this one little clip. Ben and I both fell in love with it. It took a while to track down the whole thing, but we found a guy who owned the rights to it, talked him round and he loved the idea of making it look crazy."

Wreck & Ruin is now available for purchase on Bandcamp, and on iTunes from September 5th.
