Music News - Eqwanox Call It Quits

Eqwanox Call It Quits

15 February 2011 - 0 Comments

Over the past seven years we have given it our all and have achieved so many things that we are immensely proud of.

We have funded and released an album, played international support shows, toured relentlessly throughout the North Island of NZ and have had the privilege to share the stage with so many great New Zealand bands.

Over the last couple of years we have noticed a dramatic change in popular music and we watched as the Rock genre (and even more so the Punk Rock genre) dropped off the radar. It left us in an uncomfortable position and we occupied ourselves with activities outside of the band.

With this said, We feel no regrets and with a positive outlook we have decided to go our separate ways to pursue our own individual ambitions.

We are still tight friends and will no doubt continue being tight friends after spending so much time together playing the music we love. We are all dissolving on the best terms possible and wish each other the best in future endeavours.

We also wish to thank everyone who has ever helped us immensely for your support,

All the bands we have shared the stage with, Promoters and venue owners, Marketing and Distribution teams, all our friends for getting behind us and most of all our family for putting up with us.

And finally to everyone who has bought an Eqwanox CD, a T shirt or come to a live show, Thanks!

We will be doing ONE FINAL SHOW with the Details to come soon.

We look forward to whatever comes next.

James, Nick, Aaron and Zakk
