Bar Bodega is Wellington's most dedicate real ale and music venue. For almost ten years, this small bar has been at the bottom of the Aro Valley, moving in 2003 to new premises.
Bar Bodega has offered a continuing selection of local and sometime international music events. An eclectic selection of New Zealand lagers and ales on tap, a thoughtful selection of imported beers and a lengthy single malt whiskey menu gives a comfortable laid back atmosphere, an imbibers paradise.
Most nights bands will start around 10pm. Generally DJs at the beginning of the week getting louder with bands on Thursday and Friday and usually mellower sounds on Saturday. Open late Sunday and Monday.
The Burgundy Room was previously known as Room 101.
