The San Francisco Bathhouse is a bar and music venue in Cuba St, Wellington that has been operating since May 1998.
Previously known as Indigo, the San Francisco Bathhouse has developed to be the premier mid-sized venue in Wellington holding events every Friday and Saturday night ranging from Chart-topping national artists, to local fundraisers, from international DJs and producers to young local rock bands. In addition, on Sunday through Thursday nights a number of very popular residencies are held, including Comedy every Thursday night, and Knave's Rock Cradle every Tuesday.
Since September 2002, the San Francisco Bathhouse is open 7 days a week from 3pm. This coincides with the completion of the 27sqm sunny open-air public balcony overlooking Cuba St. 18 months in development, its been worth the bureaucratic wait.
With views the full length of Cuba St, the balcony and the lucky patrons can bask in the sun through until sunset around 9pm in summer. The balcony is now definately the place to be seen, and to watch the world of Cuba St pass in the Summer.
Sip on one of our lush cocktails, a bottle of Becks, or a fresh handle of Blonde Mac while listening to some great New Zealand music and musicians. We even provide free sunblock!

Cover charge applies on Friday & Saturday nights only after 9pm.
