Cassette Number Nine is your new, fun creative entertainment and music space smack bang in the centre of Auckland City. The bar at 9 Vulcan Lane is open 6 days mostly, bringing you weekly club nights & live gigs, and playing host to and all manner of strange and wonderful things - from one-off events and tours to after-parties, launches and fashion shows. Cassette swaps comfortably between live events and club nights, always maintaining a relaxed atmosphere, plush setting and super-friendly service. We’re launching a full menu in 09 with corporate and casual group menus available upon request. Cast your eyes skywards as you enter Cassette to see artworks from local breakthrough artists, changing up monthly. From the luxurious leather Chesterfield seating to the giant disco ball, neon lights and majestic stag above the DJ booth, the remnants of old cassette decks and speakers, lush ferns and velvet curtains, the Cassette Nine interior provides the ultimate comfort and a lush, plush place to sit, with plenty of room to dance and easy access to a smoking deck overlooking the club. Cassette is also home to New Zealand’s first in-house Funktion-One sound system which promises to slap you around a bit ­ put yourself in its path pronto.
