Since July in 1999 Fu Bar has fast risen to become the first and last word in quality underground club entertainment in Auckland and indeed the whole of NZ.

With a growing clientele and the demand for more of the Fu Bar vibe, our new club space Fu was opened in December of 2000 to provide a bigger space for our most popular parties, and to host more international djs.

Fu is widely regarded as an underground club and our music policy is deliberately cutting edge. This sets Fu and Fu Bar apart from the majority of local clubs which are competing largely for the same market through a more generic sound.

For this reason the Zen and Fu Bar regular clientele regard the club as a safe haven, where they can be treated to something different every night of the week. With our frequent free invite only parties and special guests they truly feel they are a part of the club.
