Gig & Concert News - Jo Little ‘Till the Blue Skies Come’ Album Release Tour

11 March 2012 - 0 Comments

Original Singer-songwriter Jo Little of Dunedin is set to headline her first New Zealand/Australia solo tour on the release of her new album Till the Blue Skies Come. Jo will be accompanied by prominent Dunedin lead guitarist and singer-songwriter Jared Smith of Soulseller and Ash & the Matadors, who will be releasing his own debut solo album Bare Bones.

Both musicians have left their day jobs and have sold their worldly belongings in preparation for hitting the road for the next three months. The pair has been lucky enough to receive generous support from friends and family, including a brand new electric acoustic bass from Shayne McNamara of online music store Lenker.co.nz, as well as money donations using online website Indiegogo.com in which Jo has managed to fundraise $1765 towards a much needed new guitar.

The tour will begin in Dunedin with an Album Release/Tour Launch Party on Friday the 30th of March at The Church Bar & Restaurant on Dundas Street with support from fellow singer-songwriters Ash Officer, Drew Englehutt, Mama Yeva (Jono&Guest) and Kira Hundleby.

The tour will continue throughout New Zealand over April-May by which time Jo and Jared are both registered to attend the Sydney APRA Song Summit on the 26th May.  As well as Sydney the couple have planned to perform in Byron Bay and Melbourne over June before flying back home.
