FAITH NO MORE
THE SECOND COMING

TUESDAY 16 FEBRUARY CHRISTCHURCH, WESTPAC

THURSDAY 18 FEBRUARY AUCKLAND, VECTOR ARENA

The news you’ve been waiting for – Faith No More ARE coming to New Zealand.

Faith No More has always stood out as a unique beast; part dog, part cat—its music almost as schizophrenic as the personalities of its members. Their chemistry is undeniable.

11 years after famously calling it a day in April 1998, Faith No More stunned the music world by announcing their reformation earlier this year. Their comeback shows have been met with unanimous rapture from fans and critics alike:

“It’s an onslaught of energy, unpredictability, aggression, love and humour and played to absolute perfection. Astonishingly for a literal comeback gig, Faith No More are as tight and faultless as a well-oiled tour machine, but with none of the wariness and complacency.” Clickmusic

“If the Pixies reunion showed that classic bands can reform with dignity and deliver their songs with at least some of their original intent, then last night Faith No More proved it’s possible to retain the capacity to shock and surprise your fans. A truly staggering return.” BBC 6 Music

“This is not a nostalgia trip; this is a truly inspiring piece of musical history showing no signs of losing its relevance. Now this was a reformation truly worth waiting for. Download is going to be amazing!” Rock Sound

“Faith No More brought the first day of Download to a close tonight with an epic comeback set on the Main Stage.” NME

A statement from Faith No More confirmed that they are “still young and strong enough to deliver a kickass set, with enthusiasm to not only revisit our past but possibly add something to the present. And so with this we've decided to hold our collective breaths and jump off this cliff.... BACK, GOD FORBID, INTO THE MONKEY CAGE!!!”

Faith No More will only be performing 2 New Zealand shows.
Tickets go on sale Monday 9th November, at 9am.

Yes, finally ChCh gets thrown a bone... sick of flying up north.

I'd written off ever seeing them, so this is the gig of all gigs for me.

Soundwave, Solid Entertainment, and The Rock Presents

FAITH NO MORE, plus now, oh yes, Very Special Guests, EAGLES OF DEATH METAL.

Solid Entertainment are thrilled to announce the best special guests we’ve ever added to a bill!

The magnificent EAGLES OF DEATH METAL will be joining FAITH NO MORE as very special guests for both NZ shows. If that’s not a guaranteed double-banger of a big night out we don’t what is!

Our previous Eagles Of Death Metal show at The St James went down as one of the greatest shows of 2007:

Ridiculous, genius, hilarious and brilliant. Such words don't even begin to describe Jesse 'Devil' Hughes and the Eagles of Death Metal, but they're about as close as one can come, when left reeling from a night of outrageous rock 'n' roll magic. (NZ Herald)

Founded by the two messiah’s of Rock and Roll (and childhood friends) Josh ‘Baby Duck’ Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age) and Jesse ‘Boots Electric’ Hughes, The Eagles of Death Metal fulfill the checklist of rock-star awesomeness like few other bands: 1) each member has a bad-ass nickname; 2) they rock an open-D tuning; 3) best buds with Dave Grohl and Jack Black; and 4) they trade in bourbon-soaked, denim-clad filthy rock’n’roll.

“QOTSA may be rock at the edge of the abyss, but Eagles Of Death Metal vaults right over” (Spin)

Peace, Love, Death Metal blew minds and set the scene in 2004.

Death By Sexy in 2006 was an ass-shakin boots-quakin' album chock full of rock'n'roll voodoo and high-Seventies hybrid of garage, glam and scuzz rock...

“a masterpiece of horny fun and one mighty party album” (Uncut)

Recently released Heart On, described by The Guardian “as close as anyone has come to the Rolling Stones' sexual stomp in their prime” and as danceable as ever.

Make no mistake The Eagles Of Death Metal will rock your party with their petrol drenched blues, their dirty freewheeling magic and cheeky penchant for the whiff of debauchery. That’s the way these boys roll, and they’re rolling with the best…

FAITH NO MORE and Eagles Of Death Metal will be performing 2 NZ shows only.
