Bruno Merz releases 'Set of Wings'; new single and video

30 November 2015 - 0 Comments

New Zealand born folk/pop artist and multi-instrumentalist Bruno Merz received high praise for his 2014 album release Highways, with lead single Emmeline receiving over 4 million Spotify plays.

Merz returns with a brand new single called Set of Wings, a delicately restrained acoustic folk song celebrating Spring and the healing wings of new found love. The opening chords evoke the likes of Nick Drake as Merz's gentle husky voice imbues his poignant lyrics with a warmth and serenity.

The video was directed and animated by Merz himself, who moonlights as an illustrator and graphic designer. He appears as a winged troubadour floating over a dreamscape of mountains and valleys where everything is bursting with life - much like how our senses feel upon experiencing new love.

The Set of Wings video is available for viewing exclusively on Australian music blog Happy for the next few days and on YouTube from Friday the 4th December.

Set of Wings is now available for purchase from iTunes and all good digital outlets.
