Plague of Astaroth started at the end of 2005 when it was decided that the band should take a new turn. After some changes and the change from drum machines to real drums, the band finally found its settling point. The lyrics changed vastly to a more depressive take on life and the living as well as Demonology, making this band a depressive black metal band, But however after recording commenced after the Arcane odium sound test the band has swayed more to a heavier faster kind.
Jensen/Frostmoor is currently the only member of this band. In 2005 when recording was to commence, the band suffered some trouble and had to be put on hold for personal reasons. The lack of enthusiasm had left and the band remained dormant for a number of months. After some searching the band has decided to proceed with the plans and is now recording in January and February 2007 for the 2 way split release on Violent Records with Chaosmaster. This shall be 1 of many releases to come from this band.
Weather the Style changed back and forth it shall always be Black Metal and is always been my intention to make music to my owns content and shall never stray to other genres as it is in my best interest to keep Black Metal ongoing.
