Bio

Maryland is a three-piece punk/rock band from just out of Palmerston North. Maryland play mainly originals, influenced by the likes of Blink182, NFG and NoFX to create a sound which has been described as "pussy-punk".

After winning the Creative Sounds Future Recording Artist Award in the Manawatu Coke SmokeFree Rockquest Regional Finals, Maryland recorded a two song demo with Craig Black at The Stomach in Palmerston North.

Maryland have also played with a variety of acts mainly from Palmerston North including the likes of Cathedra, Riot Girl, 7.62 Short and Cord Willis.

These two tracks were added to a further 5 songs to create the 7-track debut EP 'Fertiliser', released April 2005.

Band Members:
Austin Boyle (guitar, vocals)
Shaun Wos (bass)
Jono Hicks (drums)
