Five Dollar Fee originally hitting New Zealand in 2002 started out as a high school punk band, consisting of Alma Signal, Sophie Burgess,Sarah Mudgeway and Ally Lamb.
Although first impressions were rather predictable it wasnt long before Five Dollar Fee found there inner talents through melodic sceams, emotional lyrics and the brutal heavy sound creating now know as 'The Fee', inspired through new band members bassist Jo Mepham and Guitarist/Vocals Lana White
Being around for five years The Fee have played all over the North Island of New Zealand also playing such festivals as Punkfest 2003, Punkfest 2005, Underground Fest 2004, Lady Fest 2003 down to the local Downtown Auckland Starbucks.
Releasing live cd 'Youth of Parliament' in 2002, 4 track e.p 'Say No To Crack' in 2003 The Fee are working on there new cd 'Wanna Play' hoping to be released in late 2006 with all new songs and also a few old ones.
Keep a close eye as they will be releasing all new merchandise,websites,posters and hittin gNZ with there first ever tour by end of 2007.
The girls when asked about what there band and music means to them say 'The Fee' to us is more then just being in a band and music, it's been our home that has provided us with freedom and security and to be able to publicly voice our emotions through our instruments and lyrics.
Our music in a funny way are scripts from our past good and bad that can actually only be brought out through our music.
Which to us is awesome when people come up and say they like what we're about.
