Range is Blair Parkes (103), Bert Aldridge and Hayden Sharp. Because they live in Christchurch, Wellington and Thailand respectively, Range record and perform in concentrated bursts when they can all get together, and keep connected with a constant correspondence of musical ideas when they're apart.
Recorded in a week at the National Grid studio in Christchurch, All the Way to Lunch captures the informal essence, spontaneity and energy of a band not reduced by the practice room blues. Previously, Range featured with three standout tracks on Wrong Record's inaugural release 'Dollar Mixture'.
Despite their low key profile, Range have established a strong critical and popular following from gigs and previous releases. Student radio (particularly in Auckland and Christchurch) has turned on to Range. Three video projects accompanied All the Way to Lunch: 'Coming to Rain', 'Who's that Girl?' and 'Work Life/Home Life'.
