Underscore is a Christchurch based band that play a mixture of punk and rock. They formed in early 2002 and disbanded in Sept 2003.
Having varying music backgrounds and influences, Underscore play many different styles, and try hard not to be constricted to a single genre.
Some of the many inspirations, and influences that Underscore follow include the Lost Prophets, Tool, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blindspott, Slipknot, Betchadupa, Grinspoon, System of a Down, Incubus, Pacifier, Disturbed, Propagandhi, Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, and many more.
Underscore have recorded one single titled 'The Superiority Complex', but are yet to release it.
Underscore played at ‘Crossing Fences’ and were in the finals for a competition, run at Burnside Highschool.
